The English Premier League (EPL) is for week 2 and it is the Arsenal vs. Everton game that we have our eye on. Arsenal has had a great start to the season with wins over Manchester City and Crystal Place and are coming off a 0-0 draw vs. Besitkas in a Champions league qualifier on Aug 19. Everton did not look good in the preseason and lost two key players as well (Barkey and Lukaku). They did manage a 2-2 draw on the road vs. Leicester City but will be in tough vs. a strong Arsenal squad. Currently Arsenal is the slight favourite on the 2 way betting line at bwin paying 1.85 (Everton is paying 1.87). Arsenal is coming off a game on Tuesday but we feel they will have plenty left in the tank.
It is always fun to look at the Proline odds as well. Most Canadian sports lotteries (OLG, Sport Select, Proline Stadium) do not offer 2 way moneyline soccer betting. They only offer 3 way betting with the tie. For the Everton vs. Arsenal game bwin is offering odds of 2.70 for Arsenal on the 3 way line while OLG Proline is paying 2.40, Proline Stadum is paying 2.45, and Sport Select is paying just 2.25. No surprise that all of the Proline odds are lower.
